You will receive the support you require to improve your spoken, English, as well as your listening, reading and writing skills. As this course is a general introduction to a range of craft areas, you will gain basic skills and knowledge about the construction process. This will give you an ideal grounding in general construction and how each trade contributes to the completion of a successful project.Key Areas
- Information, quantities and communication
- Fix dry lining and plasterboard products to interiors
- Position and secure fibrous plaster components
- Apply plaster materials to produce complex external surfaces
- Form screeds and granolithic finishes
What next
You could progress on to study brickwork, carpentry, painting and decorating, tiling or plumbing at level 2. Alternatively, you could work towards a general construction skills course in order to move into construction management.Entry requirements
