This qualification meets the needs of candidates who work or want to work in various trades of the Construction sector. It allows candidates to learn, develop and practice skills in areas such as brickwork, Painting & Decorating, Carpentry & Joinery. It also contributes knowledge and understanding towards the related level Construction awards.




Essential skills sessions will also be provided to support and develop numeracy and literacy skills.



How you will gain the qualification

Through the completion of a variety of practical based projects, which are supported by a number of classroom sessions.

Assessed on own merit, but a keen interest in the Construction Industry and a commitment to regular attendance and good behaviour is essential.




Candidates will need to provide suitable clothing and safety footwear for practical workshop sessions. Stationery equipment and materials will also be required.


Where to next

Upon completion of the course learners could, depending on level of success in gaining the relevant credits, progress onto studying specific trade areas or onto the First Diploma in Construction.
