You will be visited on site by an assessor to determine the qualification you wish to follow and an agreed programme will be established. You will collect evidence from your every day work through photographs, construction documents and brief written reviews. Working with the support of college staff you will collect evidence which will then be assessed against the national standards to gain your qualification. This route generally takes four or five visits over a period of approximately 6 to 12 months dependent on experience.

You can progress from level 2 to level 3 or onto college based courses leading to foundation degree and higher education.

Entry requirements

You'll need literacy and numeracy at entry level 3 or above and you will be initially assessed at interview.
