This course is designed for adult learners who wish to gain

and have the opportunity to participate in a two-week work

The course aims to equip you to move on to higher level study

You will study business and administration with a focus on:
organisational structure, functional areas, information management,
office procedures, business communications and time management.
You will also study text and word processing and IT. Work
experience where you will have the opportunity to demonstrate and
apply the skills you have learned is a key element of the
course.
You will also benefit by meeting industry experts in your chosen
field and have the opportunity to participate in course related
excursions. You will further develop your English and ICT skills to
help you to complete your course work and prepare for further study
or employment.
You will work individually or in groups on a variety of related
tasks and activities. You will have the opportunity to apply and
develop skills learnt on the course during a two-week work
placement. Course-related excursions are also part of the
programme. A significant proportion of your time will be spent on
computer-based work using Microsoft Office 2010.
Support is provided by well qualified staff with several years of commercial experience. You will have the use of the Learning Centres and IT suites including use of Microsoft Office 2007 suite of software on networked PCs.
This course is for adult learners and there are no formal entry requirements.
You could progress to employment in an administrative/clerical post and/or study at an advanced level.
