2-year course (Qualified candidates may be accepted directly onto 2nd year). The emphasis is on the practical aspect of jazz performance, supported by lessons in Theory, Harmony and Improvisation.The group is divided into small ensembles, based on ability and instrumental balance. Each group is expected to perfom in the college auditorium every other week and there are plenty of opportunities provided for further performances in the community.
