The Apprenticeship in Health & Social Care offers the opportunity for those working in the health and social care sector to gain a nationally recognised qualification which demonstrates their knowledge and competence. Learners could be working with adults in a variety of care services such as day care, residential or nursing services, domiciliary care, self-employed or as a personal care assistant. Diploma in Health & Social Care, Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care, Award in Employment Responsibilities and Rights and Personal, Learning and Thinking Skills. Functional Skills English and Maths at Level 1 or 2. How will I be Taught? One to one with an assessor who will visit you regularly in the workplace. Resources and course materials will be provided where appropriate. Group and/or one to one support from a functional skills tutor if required. How will I be Assessed? Competence is demonstrated through the completion of a portfolio of evidence using written and oral evidence, observation in the workplace, recognition of prior learning & work products.
