Staff are trained to a high level with ongoing Professional Development 5. Student support is a high priority within Chichester College. What will I Study? The course is made up of 6 Units including Welding, Heat Treatment and Hand Forging, Functional Skills in Maths, NPTC Forging Certificate. The Forging Certificate is a Mandatory requirement for entry onto an Apprenticeship Examinations will be held at Brinsbury Campus on dates agreed with NPTC in advance, starting in April / May by external NPTC examiner. The development of your personalised enterprise passport and enrichment activities fully enhance this course. How will I be Taught? This course runs for 2 and half days a week over 36 weeks. It is made up of 2 days of practical sessions and ½ day of theory. In addition to the main qualification you will study towards L2 Maths and English functional skills. How will I be Assessed? This course is assessed through a variety of methods according to the qualification. NPTC – Gola Exam, Practical Test Pieces, Practical External Exam. PEO - Observations, written evidence and practical test pieces. Functional Skills – On line exam.
