Core Skills:

You will study: Hot and Cold Water Systems, Central Heating, Above Ground Sanitation Systems, Health & Safety, Common Plumbing Processes, Key Plumbing Principles, Sheet Lead Work, Basic Electrics for Plumbing, Effective Working Relationships, Environmental Awareness & Working Skills.

Assessment:

You will be assessed throughout the course on the application of job knowledge which includes 11 module tests & a final test and 60 practical assessments of your workshop skills.

Academic Progression:

You may progress to a Level 3 Plumbing course.

Career Progression:

You will progess from a trades person working under limited supervision to a person supervising others.

Full Description:

The day release course runs for 36 week per year between September & July, one day per week. You may also be required to undertake Functional Skills in Application of Number & Communication at Level 2 if you are studying on a Modern Apprenticeship Framework.

Please note this course does not include the installation of below ground drainage systems, boilers, gas, oil or electrical systems.
