Description
Full TimeWe aim to provide training in the principles and practices of Animal Management. This includes the development of skills and knowledge needed for employment and career progression in the Animal industry at supervisory level. Students also complete the Advanced Welsh Baccalaureate and Essential Skills.
How you will gain the qualification
Students gain the qualification by completing a series of practical and written assessments. Students must complete all of Year 1 to progress to Year 2.

What qualifications you need

languaage/Welsh and either Maths or Science. Alternatively,
successful completion of a Level 2 Diploma in Animal Care at Merit
or Distinction level plus literacy and numeracy at Level 2.
Progression students must achieve at least 50% of the Level 2
Diploma at Distinction level to enrol on the Extended Diploma
route.
Depending upon prior qualifications, grades, and literacy/numeracy levels applicants may be offered a place on either the 60 Credit or 90 Credit route in Year 1. All applicants will be interviewed to establish their suitability for the course. Enthusiasm and commitment are essential.
Where to next
Learners who complete Year 1 can progress to Year 2. The course is intended to help students progress their careers within the Animal industry and can lead to further study at Higher Education level and/or employment at supervisory level.
