Full Time

This course will prepare you for work within Health and Social Care. You will


study a range of topics including Communication and Individual Rights,


Individual Needs in Health and Social Care, Human Lifespan and Creative and


Therapeutic Activities and Anatomy and Physiology. You will also take part in


work experience within a range of care settings which is a mandatory element.



How you will gain the qualification

A grading scale of pass, merit or distinction, is applied to the 8 internally


assessed units of study. All units are assessed through a range of


assignments.

Where to next

Students may progress directly into employment in a range of care settings including, Care Assistant, Healthcare Support Worker, Project Worker, Youth Worker or Day Care. Alternatively, students who achieve a Distinction can progress to the Level 3 BTEC 90 Credit Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3.
