Part TimeThis course is designed to provide students with an introduction
to Visual Art, offering opportunities to learn new skills and gain
confidence in using a range of techniques.
Following on from Term 1, you may wish to continue on to Terms 2
and 3.
Term 1 Introduction to Drawing
Term 2 Developing Drawing & Painting Skills
Term 3 Personal Art Project
This Level 2 course is designed to give students knowledge and
understanding of two-dimensional artwork, offering opportunities to
develop observational skills and produce work which shows a level
of creativity.
Students will learn to communicate through drawing, covering

• Measurement
• Composition
• Perspective

How you will gain the qualification
An Individual Learning Plan is used to provide an on-going
evaluation of the learning experience. The course is accredited by
Agored Cymru and completed work will be assessed at the end of each
term with written interim feedback issued half way through. Weekly
verbal feedback is given to provide on-going support with skills
development. An external assessor visits the college once a year.
There is no formal examination.
On successful completion of the course you will be awarded with Agored Cymru Credits at the appropriate level. Agored Cymru accreditation is recognised by colleges in Wales and England and can be used towards entry for further study.
