Full TimeYou will study the following mandatory units:
Level 3 Communication Skills for Access to HE
Level 3 Delivering an Oral Presentation
Level 2 Mathematics
Plus 3 level 3 credits from Communication/ Study Skills
Module
Mandatory Academic Subject Modules
Level 3 Extended Essay/project
In addition 9 credits at level 3 from each of three optional
Academic subject modules will be taken from:
English, History, Media Studies, Geography, Politics, Sociology,
Psychology- subject to amendment. This will be advised by the
tutor.
Additional credits from any of Academic subject modules will be studied.

How you will gain the qualification
You will produce coursework which includes essays, seminar presentations, experimental reports, Academic posters, short research papers and sometimes quizzes. There are no end of year exams but exam practice is provided. To be awarded an Access to HE Diploma, 60 credits must be achieved, which include a number of mandatory credits.
What qualifications you need
You should have at least three years of relevant life skills
gained after compulsory education .You will also be required to
provide a personal statement prior to being interviewed for your
course.
**For those wishing to progress to QTS – primary teaching, GCSE Grade B in Maths , English & Science required on application.
