General information

Students will normally study this course alongside other A level subjects, or with the Fast Track Business course.

Course content

This course is designed to provide students with an overview of all areas of investment and understanding the role of financial services in the UK economy. It offers students a direct entry route into the financial services industry. The qualification consists of a taught unit of study assessed by a multiple choice exam, followed by a second unit where students undertake an extended project related to the investment industry. This is equivalent to an AS level and attracts UCAS points.

Entry requirements

A minimum requirement of 7 GCSEs including B grades in both Maths and English and one other academic subject. It is essential that students demonstrate a clear interest in pursuing a career in the world of finance as that is what the course is structured for. Ideally candidates should have an AS grade in one of the following subjects: Economics, Business or Finance.
