Creative Media Production BTEC Diploma Level 2

This course will provide you with a broad, basic foundation in current Media skills. It is an excellent start for anyone planning to follow a career in the Media industry. It will give you the opportunity to sample a wide variety of skills in order to help you decide which area of Media you might wish to pursue. It is equivalent to 4 GCSEs grade A*-C.
This is a practical course, where you will learn and be assessed by completing practical assignments. These assignments will develop your practical skills from a variety of Media areas including Video Production, TV Studio Work, Web Design, Print, Advertising, and Photography. These assignments will reflect modern youth culture and aspirations, with you having the freedom to select topics that relate to you. You will gain a basic understanding of employment opportunities and working practice in the media industry and develop an understanding of how Media products are constructed for specific audience or markets.
