Who is the course for?

This three day training and assessment course is for experienced plumbing and heating installers who wish to expand their knowledge of fault finding aspects of combination boilers related to their day to day work. It is designed to provide better understanding of the increasingly complicated Combi boilers currently being installed and some older appliances.

Please note the Essential Electrics course is a prerequisite of this course unless the installer has a good basic understanding of electric and conversant with the use on a multimeter.

What will I study?

On the Combi fault finding course you will learn the basics of how to ensure the installation meets all the requirements, through to the different control and operating systems, to fault finding on boilers.

You will have the opportunity to gain practical experience on several different makes of Combi boilers in the workshop.

How will the course be delivered?

The course will be delivered through both practical and theory assessments in our specialist Gas Services workshop.

Course Entry Criteria

The candidate should hold a current and valid ACS CCN1 Core Gas Safety certificate and have completed the Essential Electrics course, if the candidate does not have a good basic understanding of electric and conversant with the use on a multimeter.

What will I get at the end of the course?

Combi Boiler Basic Fault Finding CITB certificate.
