- study in English at Degree and Masters level at Blackburn College or UK universities
- work in an English-speaking environment
- live independently in an English-speaking country
You will be assessed daily in your performance of class work, homework and the completion of past exam papers. You will sit the Certificate in Advanced English qualification at the end of the course.
Course Entry Criteria
The course is for those who have a minimum level of English required for the course is CEFR Level B2 or equivalent (minimum IELTS 6.0). We do deliver the IELTS course, please visit www.blackburn.ac.uk/course/ielts-preparation-course/ for further information.
The college operates a no refunds policy as detailed below. Cancellations and transfer requests are subject to the following conditions:
- More than 4 weeks notice – no charge
- 4 weeks notice – 30% of the cost
- 2-3 weeks notice – 50% of the cost
- 1-2 weeks notice – 75% of the cost
- Less than 1 weeks notice – 100% of the cost
All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to a £10 administration charge. The full fee’s policy is available on request.
What will I get at the end of the course?On successful completion you will achieve Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) certificate.
What can I do next?The course can enable students to progress to a range of Level 3 and degree level courses at University Blackburn College and other UK colleges/universities.
