Do you want to go in to the Health and Social Care sector but need an English qualification? This course will enable you to brush up on your writing and communication skills, through the subject of health and social care. Please note this is an English qualification and not a Health and Social Care qualification.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but you will be assessed on entry to ascertain your level in English. You will then be advised if your level is appropriate for this course. If it is felt that you are not quite at the level required you will be offered another English course to study. This course is designed to help students towards a Level 1 or Level 2 qualification in Adult Literacy so students who already hold a Level 2 or GCSE English would not be suitable for this course.

Delivery & Assessment methods

Assessment will be by external examination and will involve a reading, writing and speaking and Listening element.

Progression

You can continue on this course and gain a higher level in English, progress to a GCSE or any other course that you are qualified to undertake.
