The Programme Content
This is a one year full time Level 1 programme for individuals who are interested in finding out about the work in the Health and Social Care sector. There are some exams but most of it is assessed through coursework. Progression to a Level 2 course is possible for those who complete and pass all the different parts of this course. A weekly work placement is a core part of this course which allows individuals to use what they learn in the classroom in a real work setting.
Entry Requirements
You do not need any qualifications for this programme but at
your interview you will need to show that you have a real interest
in working in the Health and Social Care sector.
You will need to have a satisfactory enhanced Criminal Records

convictions. If you have any issues on your CRB you will need to
discuss this with us as some work placement settings will not allow
you to attend without a clear CRB.
