Description

The course has been designed for students who want to work in an office environment. It will provide an opportunity to learn various office skills and includes a period of work experience leading to the production of a portfolio of evidence.
The course is a good confidence builder for people who may not have carried out administration work before.
Whilst undertaking the NVQ qualification students will be required to attend a work placement. Students are also timetabled in the College Admin Centre carrying out `live’ work on behalf of the college.
Students will visit a number of business institutions so they can gain an understanding of business environments – Royal Mail, team building event, BB…

Entry Requirements

Entry will be by initial assessment to test business English plus an interview and supporting reference. Students must also have a good standard of literacy and numeracy.

Delivery & Assessment methods

Assessment by portfolio together with internal assessments and OCR external examinations.

Progression

NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or employment or a related intermediate level qualification.
