- Textiles and Surface Manipulation
- Fashion Photography and Styling
- Fashion Business: route to Market and Market identification
- Event planning and Fashion Promotion
You will develop an awareness of the design or 'back-end' of the Fashion industry. What is involved in producing a successful collection of clothing and how do you place this as a product in the market place? You will explore how to create a brand awareness of a collection and explore styling and marketing.
Entry Requirements
Students will typically have a Level 3 qualification in an art and design related subject (e.g. A Levels or National Diploma.) Mature students with relevant life experiences and a portfolio will be considered without formal qualifications. Level 2 maths and English is required.
Delivery & Assessment methods
Continuous practical assessment with weekly progress updates. The first 2 sections of the course are either pass or fail. The final section is graded and it is this grade that determines your overall grade.
Progression
Typical Progression from this course would be into a Higher Apprenticeship, or a University level course such as HND and BA (Hons) Degree in Fashion Design, Promotion or Textiles Design, although a range of pathways are possible.
