Course content

This qualification is for all those who work or wish to work with children aged 0-19 in a diverse range of job roles and occupational areas.

  • The qualification is made up of a mixture core mandatory pathway units and optional units.

it is recommended that during this course students also study level 2 mathematics and English in preparation for a level 3 childcare qualification.

Entry Requirements

Students will require a clear Criminal Records Bureau and need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement for 12 hours or more in a child care setting. A letter confirming this will be required for adult applicants

3.25 hours per week tuition and 12 hours per week in placement
