Students who have completed the level two refinishing course & dont need the full level three qualification…..therefore opt for the practical only.

What will I study?

Vehicle Refinishing Level 3 is ideal for students who have already completed level two in Vehicle Refinishing or students who have already gained practical skills in the motor industry.

The modern vehicles on the roads today all require tough durable paint finishes, many of these finishes will require repairing during their lifetime.

At level three youll be Inspecting /assessing the damage to vehicles, Completing Estimates, selecting & using the correct tools & equipment in order to complete invisible repairs using modern compliant materials from undercoats to the final top coat.The course covers preparation and basic spraying techniques. You will also learn how to use specialised tools and workshop equipment.

PLEASE NOTE: YOU WILL NEED STEEL TOE-CAPPED FOOTWEAR AND CLEAN OVERALLS

How will the course be delivered?

Through workshop based activities alongside a tutor and other delegates at a similar level.

Course Entry Criteria

Students must have level 2 in refinishing to attend on this course.

The college operates a no refunds policy as detailed below. Cancellations and transfer requests are subject to the following conditions:

  • More than 4 weeks notice – no charge
  • 4 weeks notice – 30% of the cost
  • 2-3 weeks notice – 50% of the cost
  • 1-2 weeks notice – 75% of the cost
  • Less than 1 weeks notice – 100% of the cost

All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to a £10 administration charge. The full fee’s policy is available on request.

What will I get at the end of the course?

You will receive a Blackburn College Certificate of attendance upon successful completion of the training.
