This course gives students a broad range of knowledge about the business world and helps them develop the understanding and skills needed to prepare them for employment.

This course contains four mandatory units and two optional units.

Students will study a combination of core and specialist units. Assessment will focus on the completion of coursework for each module

Entry Requirements

Students will need a minimum of five GCSE subjects at grade C or above, at least one of which must be either Mathematics or English Language. Students with a suitable Level 2 qualification will require a minimum Merit grade plus either Mathematics or English Language at a grade C or above. All applicants will require a satisfactory reference and student profile.

Delivery & Assessment methods

A variety of assessment methods will be used including written assignments, presentations, group work and in class assessments.

Progression

Successful completion on this course in the first year will lead to a transfer to the BTEC Diploma (Two A Level equivalent) in the second year.
