This is a basic computerised accounting course, designed for students who wish to learn how to use Sage Accounting software or those who want their knowledge of the software to be validated by a formal qualification.

Course content

This is a short course hence we will require you to attend all sessions. Students learn how to user Sage Accounting software from first principles including:

  • Processing sales/purchase invoices
  • Processing credit notes
  • Processing basic receipts and payments
  • Producing basic printouts of management information

Entry Requirements

There are no formal qualifications for this course, but students are expected to have a good level of literacy and IT skills. Students must know how to operate a computer keyboard and a mouse. Students may be required to complete a diagnostic assessment, which will identify their suitability for the course. No interview is required for this course. Applicants will be invited to enrol before the course is due to start.

One end of course computer-based examination.

Progression

You will be able to progress onto the Computerised Accounting Level 2 qualification. Successful candidates can find that possession of this qualification can enhance their job opportunities and career prospects.
