The AS and A2 in Health and Social Care has been developed to provide a broad educational base for further training or higher education. The qualifications have been designed to allow learners to develop an understanding of the diverse and complex nature of the health and social care sector. Learners may apply their learning to any of the following service-user groups: health, early years (care and education), care of older people, and individuals with specific needs.

Progression

The GCE in Health and Social Care qualifies for UCAS points. It gives students a wide choice of progression options into further study or training. Students who successfully complete the qualification will be well equipped to move onto degrees or BTEC Higher National Diplomas
