Entry Requirements

It is essential that your Initial Assessment results show that you are working at Level 2. You will also need to have achieved 4 GCSEs at grades A–C, including English, Maths and two Sciences or equivalent.

What You Will Study

Students will study a wide range of units spanning key aspects of agriculture including:

  • Animal husbandry, production and science
  • Crop production and science
  • Environmental and conservation management
  • Farm business management
  • The maintenance and operation of agricultural machinery

Functional Skills

You will also gain nationally recognised Functional Skills qualifications (English, Maths and ICT).

What Next?

Those entering the agriculture industry might, for example, work at crafts person level or as unit supervisors, with a view to progressing to assistant manager and ultimately managerial roles.
