Course DescriptionThe Level 1 Diploma course is designed to prepare students to work as a Carpenter/Joiner
Students will learn:
- House and Wall Construction
- Wood joints
- Construction materials
- Carpentry tools; their care and uses
- Building Regulations
- Health & Safety

In the workshop students will learn how to set out their work area, work safely in a working environment and use the tools and materials to make basic wood joints and small carpentry projects.
Entry Requirements
GCSE’s Grade D or above, including English and Maths OR initial college initial assessment in Carpentry & Joinery, successful interview with college staff and students will be required to undertake Essential Skills …
