Course Description
The aim of this course is to provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to work in a barber’s shop as a junior barber.
Students will learn a variety of barbering skills such as:
- Shampooing and Conditioning
- Cutting (incl facial hair)
- Colouring
- Styling

Students will also learn about Health & Safety and client consultation. Additionally, students are required to complete Essential Skills in English and Maths.
Entry Requirements
- Level 1 Diploma in Barbering
- Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy
- 4 GCSEs including grade A-D, English or Maths
- Successful interview with college staff
- A report from the school or other educational provider
