The Barbering Courses develop skills and prepare students for a career in the industry. All courses cover theoretical and practical aspects of training and progression routes are available to further develop skills in specific aspects of the industry.

What Will I Learn

You will learn the core skills required in barbering. It is a practical-based course and you will be assessed on your competency to perform basic salon services. The theory underpins the practical skills

Assessed in work by ssessor and tutor.

Entry Requirements

Level 1 qualification in Hairdressing or any other hairdressing experience (trade test may be applied).

Additional Information

Students will need to purchase a Barbering Kit, uniform and text books at a cost of approximately £235. During the course there will be the opportunity to attend workshops and exhibitions at an approximate cost of £100.

Progression

The progression from this programme would be NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing (Level 2) or Industry.

Career Opportunities

This vocational qualification is designed to equip you with the skills required within the workplace. Positions that would be open to you will include Men's Hairdresser and Barber.
