Introduction

This qualification is accredited by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) who is the recognised professional body for staff employed in a range of roles in finance and accounting. Members of the AAT are fully qualified accounting technicians.

What Will I Learn

This course is suitable for school leavers with a proven interest in accounts, as well as mature students and those wishing to return to work after a break. How Will I Be Assessed?

Many of the units are assessed by computer-based exams and the provisional results are available immediately or are marked by an assessor at the college.

Entry Requirements

You will need a minimum of 4 GCSE passes at grade C or above, including English and Mathematics, together with a proven interest in accountancy. All participants must become student members of the AAT.

Additional Information

This course is also available on a part-time basis. Students are required to become members of AAT and the registration and subscription fee will be approximately £120. Purchase of books are optional.

Progression

Completion of this course (with Level 2 Maths) will enable you to progress to Level 3.

Career Opportunities

You will be able to consider positions within the government sector, banking sector or accountancy practices.
