Introduction

You will study topics which build upon your AS studies to broaden and deepen your knowledge and understanding of Media Forms and Conventions, Media Institutions, Media Audiences and Media Representations.

What Will I Learn

On this course you will extend your learning from the AS course to facilitate students' progression and an opportunity to develop their practical filmmaking skills. In addition, you are able to experiment with forms of print media in their coursework. You will also gain a theoretical understanding of media texts, particularly in relation to a postmodern approach.

How Will I Be Assessed?

The course is split between exam and coursework (50% each).

Entry Requirements

You will have 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including English Language, as well AS Film Studies.

Additional Information

There will be 4 hours of classroom contact per week, plus independent learning.

Progression

You can progress onto Higher Education courses in Film/Media etc.
