What will I study?
As part of your apprenticeship you will be required to complete the following:- NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing
- Key Skills at Level 1 in Communication
- Key Skills at Level 1 in Application of Number
- Employer Roles and Responsibilities
What does the course lead to?
At the end of this programme you will gain the confidence and skills that enable you to offer all hairdressing services to clients in your place of work.What can I go on to study?
You will be encouraged to progress onto an advanced apprenticeship at NVQ level 3.Entry requirements
You must be aged between 16 and 24 and employed within hairdressing.You will need a good educational background, preferably GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths.
Good communication skills are essential.
How much does it cost?
If you are between the age of 16 and 18 the Apprenticeship is free of charge. If you are 19 and above your employer must pay a one off fee.During your apprenticeship your employer is obliged to pay you a wage at the minimum rate for an apprentice.
