Continuous internal assessment will be carried out throughout the course, units 1 to 6 are graded as Pass. The final major project is the culmination of the course and is graded at Pass, Merit or Distinction.What does the course lead to?
You will further develop your conceptual and practical art and design skills to develop and produce a portfolio for your application to Higher Education.What can I go on to study?
BA (Hons) degrees in Art and Design, HNDs in Art and Design, teacher training or other advanced courses in Higher Education. Alternatively you could progress into employment with further training.Entry requirements
The minimum age for entry is 18 at the start of the course.You will need an A Level supported by three GCSEs grades A*-C or equivalent, including English or a combination of an A Level in Applied Art and Design or AS in Art and Design or a National/Extended Diploma in Art and Design.
All applicants will be required to attend an interview with a portfolio of practical art and design work which shows an appropriate standard and personal commitment.
