How long is the course?
Depending on the individual, the course normally lasts one year to eighteen months.How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed by project and computer based formal tests.Underpinning knowledge will also be delivered on day release.
What will I study?
The AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting and functional skills Level 2 in maths and English.What does the course lead to?
Upon completion you can expect to enhance your prospects in the following job roles: accounts assistant, accounts clerk, cashier, credit control clerk, data input clerk, finance assistant, purchase ledger clerk or sales ledger clerk.What can I go on to study?
A foundation apprenticeship can lead to an advanced apprenticeship and then a higher apprenticeship.Entry requirements
You should already be employed in an accountancy environment.You will need a good educational background, preferably GCSE grade A to C in English and maths.
How much does it cost?
If you are between the age of 16 and 18 the apprenticeship is free of charge. If you are 19 and above your employer must pay a one off fee.During your apprenticeship your employer is obliged to pay you a wage at the minimum rate for an apprentice.
