Level 2 Accountancy Intermediate Apprenticeship
This product does not have fixed starting dates and/or places.
Students will study the following:
- Principles of recording and processing financial transactions
- Banking procedures
- Basic principles of costing
- Professional ethics in accounting and finance
- Preparing and recording financial documentation
- Maintaining and reconciling the cash book
- 4 Units of the personal learning and thinking skills are mapped into the main programme. Two elements are assessed by completion of the apprentice workbook
- Application of number level 1
- Communication level 1
- Communications technology (ICT) - minimum level 2
- Employment rights and responsibilities are completed in a workbook

Students must:
- Be aged 16 or over
- Not be in full-time education or on any other training programme
- Have lived in the UK for the past three years
- Have GCSE Maths at grade C or above or equivalent
- Have a reasonable standard of literacy skills
The employer may stipulate entry qualifications when recruiting an apprentice to a particular job role.
Students will be expected to have a contract to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. This must be paid employment. However, you can still apply for this course if you are actively seeking employment, but this must be in place before you can commence the training.
All students are required to have an initial assessment test.
Students must become a member of the AAT within 2 weeks of
commencing the course.
