Between 10% and 14% of the general population have suicidal thinking within their lifetime and suicide is the second biggest cause of death worldwide among 15 to 19 year olds.   • Identify vulnerable groups.
  • Assess suicide risks
  • Use specific interview techniques
  • Identify early warning signs
  • Apply crisis management techniques
  • Support the use of problem solving techniques
  • Establish support networks
