Course summary This course is taught as a 4 or 5 day block. Dates are available on request. It attracts 20 level 7 credits towards postgraduate level qualifications. Students completing the course can progress to other modules or transfer to the related postgraduate courses below. They may also be able to transfer this credit to other postgraduate courses at this or other universities.

What does your own view of the world bring to the way you work? How does the work you do contribute to the wider world? How do you help your participants to reflect and think critically about their lives and their futures? This course will help you reflect on your professional practice and support others to do the same. Among the reflective techniques we will explore will be creative art, drama and solos.

Suitable for outdoor education and development training professionals working towards IOL Accredited Practitioner status and above or for general CPD. Also ideal for nurses, therapists, social workers, youth workers, teachers and trainers working with this approach. Credit available towards postgraduate qualifications. Case studies ‘Of all the courses I’ve done, this course transformed my professional practice and my view of the world. Initially wobbly, it has made all the difference to what I want to do’.
