Frontline professionals, volunteers or workers within the private, voluntary and independent sector who work with young people. The course is also suitable for continuing professional development purposes. Please contact us if you are not one of the above but would still like to attend the course.

Course summary

In addition to the above, attendance at this course will enable you and your organisation to be better placed to respond to a client who makes a disclosure of domestic abuse and respond accordingly. Since the age of 16, almost 30% of women and 17% of men in England and Wales have experienced some form of domestic abuse (Chaplin et al., 2011). Domestic abuse costs the tax payer an estimated £3.9bn per year (CAADA, 2010; Walby, 2004, 2009). In Cumbria alone the costs total £2.4 billion per annum.
