Description

The BA (Hons) Textile/Surface Design degree enables you to combine traditional processes with innovation to create contemporary designs. This course is hands-on, creative and thought provoking.

You will be introduced to the varied working practices of textile studio designers in industry, contemporary textile artists and designer-makers. You will consider current professional practice in this fast-moving industry and get to grips with a range of processes and techniques. Experimentation and investigation are encouraged throughout.

As well as small group learning and one-to-one support, you will enjoy the stimulus of visiting speakers and the challenge of external exhibition opportunities. The University‚s well established links with industry means you will work on live projects‚ during your course.
