You will learn how to enable the planning and allocation of work to meet your organisation‚s requirements; assess the performance of your team members and provide appropriate feedback; manage capability issues; and learn about an effective disciplinary and grievance process. You will also assess your future development needs for managing workplace performance.
You will consider theoretical and practical aspects of performance management including strategic and operational dimensions; organisational processes; competence frameworks, reward systems and motivational models; tools of performance management such as KPI, Gantt Charts, 360 degree feedback and the use of Personal Development Plans. In addition, you will learn to manage poor performance and examine the consequences of not dealing with performance issues effectively.
