You will consider the role of marketing communications and how personal influences might be used to develop promotional effectiveness; learn how the tools of the promotional mix can be coordinated in order to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders; and examine how e-business impacts on customer dynamics, marketing communications, marketing channels and relationship management.
You will learn about the practical issues of developing plans in line with budgets; building media plans around specific campaign requirements, using both online and offline media; brand support activity; understanding the target audience; website design; traffic building; building relationships; and managing information.
Learning will be assessed on the basis of your submission of a research paper and a research presentation. It is expected that you will plan and carry out independent learning; use high standards of presentation and communication, including standards of written and spoken English; and demonstrate effective use of research skills and information sources, particularly electronic sources.
Study on the course will also give you the opportunity to develop and enhance your personal skills such as critical thinking and evaluation, team working and building, presentations, IT and communication skills.
