It has been developed for people who wish to practice using a cognitive behavioural approach in one or more of the following settings ‚ the helping or health professions, private practice, or management roles where working with people is the prime focus.

You will study practical aspects of CBT such as basic principles and techniques and assessment and formulation. You will also consider wider issues such as the evaluation of literature, models and therapeutic practice, research methods, evidence based-practice, professional issues and ethical practice. Over the course of your studies you will gain 200 hours experience of working with clients in a clinical setting through supervised clinical practice placements arranged on an individual basis by you.

The course will also support the development of your personal and transferable skills commensurate with postgraduate study.
