Temperament and social aspects of development are also explored, while methods of studying children are constantly revisited.
During the course of your studies it is expected that you will demonstrate a critical understanding of appropriate methodologies and current research, use critical thinking and evaluative skills informed by current research, and formulate and defend an argument using reasoned thinking.
You will be taught through a mix of lectures, seminars and tutorials. Assessment will be based on an essay and an exam. For both pieces of work you will be expected to consult primary sources such as journal articles.
