Leadership and Management for care (2 day course) Outline: This course provides an opportunity for Care Home Managers to consider and review their own management practice and that of their care home. It gives a unique opportunity to look at models of management and how they can be adapted to the specific requirements of residents, staff and relatives to ensure the highest standard of care. The principle focus is to assist care home managers to set standards within their homes which ensure continuous quality improvement and growth. The Course has been developed in conjunction with 360 Forward and is based on their Standard Framework which assesses quality in care homes and domiciliary settings from three perspectives – Residents, Staff and Relative -Using structure, process and outcomes standards. The implementation of these standards has been shown to reduce staff turnover and improve bed occupancy.
