Outline of Programme · The role the activities coordinator plays in assisting service users in retaining skills & developing skills as an aid to providing an excellent quality of life · Look at ways that family and service users can be involved in planning and providing activities · The need to assess the service users activity needs and their abilities, to raise their level of interest and active participation · Look at different activities for varying groups of service users · Looking at different ways of keeping up to date with local activities available and new ideas Assessment: The course is delivered in 3 hours and Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to learn along with interaction of group activities. Important information The training venue should be quiet and undisturbed. Staff should not be expected to be on duty Staff attending should remain for the entire length of the session
