If you are aged between 19 and 23 and don’t already hold a qualification equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, tuition fees will be waived. If you meet the Eligible Benefit criteria, tuition fees will be waived. (Registration Fees will still apply).

• Promoting services and products
You will gain the practical skills required in our commercial salon
based on the ground floor of the Hyde Clarendon Sixth Form College.
There is an option to undertake 1 further unit on Perming Hair for
talented learners. There will be in-house competitions.
Trip to Blackpool (March) for National finals of AHT competitions
as well as working with the Francesco Hairdressing group. Entry
Qualification: Learners will be accepted onto the programme after a
successful interview. Potential learners should have a good general
education and preferably four GCSE grade D or above, one of which
must be English, or level 1 Foundation Hairdressing with level 1
Functional Skills in English, Maths is desirable. Learners should
also possess the following qualities:
• Good communication skills
• Stamina
• Enjoy working with others as a team
• Good dexterity skills
• Personal commitment
• Be reliable and punctual Special Features: Candidates must have
completed Foundation Hairdressing at Level 1 and be able to
demonstrate good organisational and communication skills to
progress as well as a creative flair.

assignment work and on line Gola testing.

1 to 1 tutorial
Termly reviews and SMART targets
Your practical skills will be assessed in a work based
environment
On line Gola tests
Progression: On completion of the course you may wish to gain
employment in a Hairdressing salon or progress onto the level 3
Hairdressing course. You can always side step to level 2 Beauty
Therapy or Gent barbering (subject to availability)
