This course had a 94 per cent pass rate in 2011/2012.

AS Maths (Pure & Mechanics) is ideal if you are planning to study sciences, particularly Physics.
AS Maths (Pure & Statistics) is ideal for you if you are planning to study accountancy, business studies, economics, etc.
You will study 2 ‘core’ modules covering algebra, trigonometry and calculus, then an extra module which is mechanics or statistics.
The pattern is the same for the A2, with 2 core modules and…

What do I need to get on this course?
You need to have an A or B at GCSE, but we will also consider students with C.
If you do not have a grade A or have studied maths in another country, you will need to do well in our diagnostic algebra test.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through external exams.

A Level Maths is an impressive subject to have for any Higher Education course with a scientific or statistical element.
A degree in maths can lead to a variety of career pathways in industries such as; Business, Finance, Engineering and Science.
