If you are studying at Level 1 or 2 AND you meet the Eligible Benefit criteria tuition fees will be waived. (Registration Fees will still apply). If you are studying at Level 3 AND you meet the Eligible Benefit criteria AND are aged between 19 and 23, tuition fees will be waived. Tuition fees will not be waived for students aged over 23 studying a Level 3 or higher course, however these students may qualify for a 24+ Advanced Learning Loan.

skills, and who want to further their career with a professional
qualification.
By completing this qualification you will also gain the
underpinning knowledge for assessment against the new Associate
professional level of membership (Assoc CIPD).
The Certificate in Human Resource Practice (CHRP) provides a firm
foundation in all areas of HR. It will help you to develop
essential HR skills and give you the confidence to be more
effective at work and add value to your HR function.
The course consists of six units:
• Developing yourself as an effective HR or L and D
practitioner
• Understanding organisations and the role of HR
• Recording, analysing and using HR information
• Resourcing Talent
• Supporting good practice in managing employment relations
• Delivering learning and development activities Entry
Qualification: This course is suitable for persons who are aspiring
to, or embarking on, a career in HR/L&D; are working in the
field of HR/L&D in a support role and wish to develop their
knowledge and skills; have responsibility for HR/L&D activities
and decisions within an organisation without a specialist
function.
There are no formal entry requirements; however, prior to
enrolment, you will have to attend an interview with the course
tutor to ensure suitability, and participants are required to have
a good command of English and ICT skills. Special Features: Visit
to employment tribunal; opportunity to attend branch meetings of
the CIPD; access to CIPD website and receipt of ‘People Management’
(the fortnightly magazine published by CIPD). Progression:
Following successful completion of the course, you may progress
onto the (CIPD) Intermediate Level Diploma in Human Resource
Management – Level 5 at Tameside College, or it may lead to a place
on the Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management through
our close links with either the University of Huddersfield (Oldham
Campus) or the University of Salford; and be able to progress
further to either an MA or MSc in Human Resource Management.
