Budgeting for the small businessThis course helps individuals to action simple budgeting techniques, enabling businesses to keep track of their fi nances and avoid the potential risks which could prove detrimental to an organisation. Budgeting for the small business will also equip individuals with the knowledge required to make informed budgeting decisions, eff ectively communicate budgeting information, and ultimately understand the importance of completing budgets.
Finance for non-financial managers
This course enables managers to make sense of financial documentation, a task which can prove difficult for individuals without any accounting experience. Non-financial managers will understand and learn how to use information from the profit and loss account and balance sheet, how to effectively control cash, and how to use budgets to manage business activity.Making sense of financial documentsMaking sense of financial documents helps individuals to understand the importance of keeping accurate financial records, in turn ensuring businesses run smoothly on a day-to-day basis.
This course specifically enables staff to understand and use: customer documentation and records (e.g. sales invoices and sales credit notes); supplier documentation and records (e.g. purchase invoices and supplier accounts); the cash receipts book; and the bank statement.It is recommended that applicants for these courses have basic skills in literacy and numeracy.
Managing cash flow, keeping your business healthy
This course helps individuals to effectively manage the flow of cash in a business, ultimately ensuring an organisation’s health and survival. Individuals will specifically learn how to prepare a cash budget, how to monitor a cash budget, and why cash is important in a business.
