What You Study:The Managing cash flow, keeping your business healthy Essential course consists of 3 sessions.
- Cash and the cash budget: Candidates will learn why cash is important in a business, timing of cash flows, the importance of estimating likely cash flows pattern and how to prepare a cash budget.
- Monitoring and controlling cash flows: Candidates will learn how to use the cash budget, the importance of comparing budgeted and actual cash flows, why differences should be investigated and possible reasons for differences and subsequent actions that can be taken.
- Cash flow and credit customers: In this final session, candidates will learn the risks of giving credit to customers, how to assess the creditworthiness of customers, how to guard against non-payment by credit customers and strategies to deal with late payers.
Upon the successful completion of the AAT Essentials - Managing cash flow, keeping your business healthy, you can progress on to complete the other AAT Essentials courses; Finance for non-financial managers, Budgeting or Making sense of financial documents. We also have a range of accounting and finance Professional Development Awards (PDA’s).
